How to Improve Your English Vocabs
SMP Raden Fatah Batu - Many Indonesian students are getting struggle in learning English. They are lost in its basic knowledge. Especially in Raden Fatah Junior High School, the students think that learning English is very complicated. Whereas, learning English is fun. Learning English is not difficult anymore.
The basic skill that students must gain is the ability of collecting vocabularies. It’s about how they remember the vocabs and processing them into sentences or text. These are the easy ways that you can do to improve your English vocabs:
- Read. Read, read and read. The first thing you must do is read. By reading a text, many kinds of text, you will acquire new vocabs. The more you read, the higher chances you will get to discover new vocabs in English.
- Try to get closer with dictionary. To be practical, download the dictionary application on your mobile phone. So, every time you find a new vocabs, you can check the meaning easily. And do not use Google Translate or you will lose. Haha.
- Make targets. You need to make a target to understand the vocabs. For example, 1 day 2 words. So, you have to understand 2 words in a day. Or adjust it with your abilities, it can be less or more than 2.
- Write. Try to write the vocabs in your target into sentence. Sentence by sentence and then text by text. Do it consistently.
